Looks like a long week

Oh yes, this is going to be a long week. With snow in the forecast every day until Friday, spring seems a lifetime away. With windchills below 0 every morning, it sure isn't any incentive to go out and get the farm chores done! But, the animals need attention or they won't make it thru such unpleasant weather so out into the deep freeze I go.

This is by far, the weirdest winter I have seen since I've been here. I'm dreaming of spring almost constantly now...

  1. I know jist what your feeling. I wish there was a weather wall across Canada to keep the cold up there! Ya well, we jist have to keep going. Have a pleasant weekend.

  2. I must be a bit (maybe more that a bit) older than you cause I remember winters like this even here in the southern half of Illinois. I am just about over the whole season though.

  3. Hi Toodie! LOL, yep, Canada can keep the cold!

Hi Sophiadawn! Ah, I've just been in the southern part since 1993. I don't mind the snow, the ice can go someplace else, I just hate busting ice 4 times a day!

  4. Sooooo Gray! Have you noticed how much later it is staying light? Although we are in the deep freeze in Indiana as well, the snow on the ground and the full moon have brightened things up a lot. Our hens are even cooperating a little better!

  5. Hey Milton! I wish my chickens were, they still aren't laying! I've never had trouble like this with them. Maybe it's because I have older hens? Who knows.... The full moon was awesome, wasn't it?

Hope your chickens start laying again soon.

  8. So thankfull you have hot water when I look at this picture!!! We are preparing for another round of snow/ice in the south. We have plenty of food stocked up so my preps are finding entertainment for myself. Pulled out all my fabric last night and plan on watching the next storm while working on next years Christmas gifts, once spring comes my butt is outta here, I need to get in the dirt to play
