Just Another Day

Like this is a normal house for regular days! There he is, the happy goat, he finally figured out how to jump up on the couch! Didn't take long for him to figure out how to get on top of the couch either. Now he's making laps with the dog, using the couch like a corner burm at a nascar track! Hmmm, isn't he special?

Lucky got his first outdoor adventure today and joined us for morning chores. Lucky met the cow, she didn't like him much and sent him rolling across the stall. Just scared him and covered him in straw. Lucky doesn't like the cow much anymore. He did chase some chickens and ran back and forth thru the barn lot a few times, visited with the other goats too. Soon, he will be living with them so might as well get acquainted now.

Just 19 days until I can start some seeds, I'm ready now!

  1. Cute little Booger. Spring can get here anytime it wishes, I'm ready.

  2. We're looking into a dairy goat or two to get us through our dry spell, until next Spring, when our heifer should calve( fingers crossed) I'm not a milk drinker, but sure miss the yogurt and soft cheeses.

Wow! we'll wait until end of Feb to start ours. I am going to plant our cold tolerant crops in the greenhouse, maybe mid Feb. and use a floating row cower if it looks like it's going to be below zero( we aren't heating the greenhouse)

Great photos, he's just like a dog, isn't he?

  3. OMG your baby is soooo cute, I don't think I could put lucky in the barn he would be right in the bed with me every night! Lucky is very LUCKY to have you as his Mommy

  4. Nothing more intertaining than a baby goat. lol

  5. Can we milk the goat ? cause I'm just saying

  6. Hey Sweethearts Mom! Nope, he's house broke. He gets his own spot, a flat cardboard box, lined with plastic and filled with shredded paper and he uses it faithfully. Goats are smart.
